I submitted a new airport/facility or an update to an airport/facility but it doesn't show up?

To ensure the highest quality of data possible all changes go through a moderation queue to ensure the data is reviewed by a second pair of eyes before being committed to the database.

You can check the My Recent Changes section on the home page to see the status of your 5 latest changes

Verified owners of airports and facilities can update the information for those places without going through the moderation queue

I am the owner/operator/CEO/designated staff member of an airport/facility, how do I become the verified owner on here?

To begin the verification process, please email us at alex@airportinfo.nz

Make sure to include your details and details of the airport/facility you want to claim ownership of

We will then work with you to verify ownership. Any personal info or documents received by us as part of verification will be destroied as soon as verification is complete

My change was marked duplicate, what does that mean?

From time to time we may get multiple changes with the same information. In such cases one will be approved to apply the change while the others will be marked as duplicates

My comment vanished, where did it go?

Due to the current limitations of the website, mainly lacking any kind of notification system (Which will come in a future update) any denied comments are simply removed from the system

I've got an idea for a feature/piece of info that would be great on the site, where do I submit it?

To save you some time, here are a few things we already plan on adding: Aero Clubs, Flight Schools and Maintenance facility types, expanded Runway info such as length and group rating, notification system and emails, aviation news and aviation events.

How can I help out with the website?

We are accepting help in the form of moderators for our moderation queue of changes and comments.

If you want to apply please get in contact with us at support@airportinfo.nz and tell us a bit about yourself, your background in NZ aviation and why you want to help.

We are continuously reviewing the application and will approve or deny applications at our sole discretion.

How else can I show my appreciation for this project?

Donations to help with costs are very much appreciated and can be done through the Donation link in the About dropdown.

Offers of flights in cool aircraft or visits/behind the scenes tours of aviation facilities around NZ are also much appreciated.
